If there is any discrepancy, the [Spanish version](/privacidad) prevails. At **VinciU Inc.** ("VinciU", "we") we respect your privacy. This Policy explains which personal data we process on the [vinciu.com](https://vinciu.com) website and the [app.vinciu.com](https://app.vinciu.com) platform, what we use it for, who we share it with and how you can exercise your rights. ## Summary - On the website **we do not ask for personal data** and we do not use advertising or tracking cookies. - On the platform we process the data needed to provide the educational service each school contracts. - Data of minor students is processed with the authorization of their parents or guardians, managed by the school. - **We do not sell or rent personal data**, and we do not use students' data for advertising. - You can ask us for access to, correction or deletion of your data at [hola@vinciu.com](mailto:hola@vinciu.com). ## Data controller The controller is VinciU Inc. For any question about this Policy or your data, write to [hola@vinciu.com](mailto:hola@vinciu.com). When a school contracts the platform, the school decides which members of its community use it. In that case, VinciU processes the data of teachers, students and families to provide the service to the school, under its agreement with the school. ## Data we process ### On the vinciu.com website - **Language preference:** if you choose Spanish or English, we store that choice in a technical cookie (`vinciu_lang`) for one year to show you the right language. It is not used for anything else. - **Technical data:** like any website, our infrastructure provider (Cloudflare) processes the IP address, browser and requested pages to serve the site and protect it from abuse. We do not use it to identify or profile you. - **Introduction video:** it is loaded from Google Firebase Storage only if you play it. - **Demo request:** the "Request a demo" button takes you to Google Calendar; the details you enter there are received by VinciU to arrange the meeting and are also governed by Google's privacy policy. ### On the app.vinciu.com platform - **Account data:** name, email, school and role (administrator, teacher, student or family). - **Learning data:** courses and activities completed, progress, submissions and results, shown to the student, their teachers and their family. - **Usage and technical data:** logins, device, browser and logs needed for the operation and security of the service. - **Communications:** messages you send us through support channels. We do not request sensitive data (such as health, religion or ethnic origin) or payment card data from platform users. ## What we use it for - Providing the educational service contracted by the school: giving access to courses, recording progress and showing it to teachers and families. - Providing educational and technical support, and communicating about the service. - Improving content and the platform using aggregated or anonymized information. - Keeping the service secure and complying with legal obligations. We only send marketing communications to those who requested them or to school contacts, and you can always unsubscribe. ## Minor students The platform is designed for K-12 schools, so many students are minors: - Students access the platform through their school, which is responsible for obtaining the authorization of their parents or guardians. - We only process the data needed for the educational activity and we do not use it for advertising. - Families can check progress from their dashboard and may ask at any time for access to, correction or deletion of the student's data, through the school or by writing to [hola@vinciu.com](mailto:hola@vinciu.com). - Students' images, voices or work are only shared with the express authorization of their parent or guardian. ## Who we share it with We do not sell, rent or transfer personal data. We only share it with: - **The school** each user belongs to, and with teachers and families to the extent needed for the service. - **Providers that help us deliver the service**, such as cloud infrastructure, hosting and email services (for example, Cloudflare and Google), which access the data only for that purpose and under confidentiality obligations. - **Authorities**, when required by law or court order. ## International transfers Our providers may store or process data on servers located outside your country, including the United States of America. In those cases we take measures so that the data has an adequate level of protection, in accordance with applicable law. ## How long we keep it We keep data while the school keeps the service active and the user has an account. Afterwards we delete or anonymize it within a reasonable period, unless a law requires us to keep it longer. ## Security We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data: encrypted connections (HTTPS), role-based access and providers with recognized security standards. No system is completely infallible; if an incident affecting your data occurred, we would report it as required by law. ## Your rights You can request access to, correction, update or deletion of your personal data, and object to its processing, by writing to [hola@vinciu.com](mailto:hola@vinciu.com). We will respond within the legal deadlines. In the Argentine Republic, data subjects may exercise their right of access free of charge at intervals of no less than six months, unless a legitimate interest is shown, as established in article 14, subsection 3 of Law No. 25,326. The Agency for Access to Public Information, as the Supervisory Authority of Law No. 25,326, is empowered to handle complaints and claims filed by those whose rights are affected by non-compliance with personal data protection rules. If you use the service from another country, you may also exercise the rights granted by the data protection law applicable in your country. ## Changes to this Policy We may update this Policy to reflect changes in the service or in the law. The current version is always the one published at [vinciu.com/privacy](https://vinciu.com/privacy), with its last updated date. If the changes are significant, we will notify schools.
